Introduction

I've opened up this account quite long time ago. But haven't post anything here.

Anyway, reasons for me to make this blog just to share my few moments of hiking, hashed, cycling, rock climbing, go for a walk or travel to places that I've been. I was hoping to make some friends who come around from my town sharing their moments, their experience or better suggest me some good place to hike or just go for a visit.

It's been years I look for hikers around North Borneo, Sabah to be exact, the East Malaysia. I really like to share and exchange stories. There's not many local Sabahan love hiking. I have hikers friend who not from around the town always asked me, where  are the local hikers but disappointed and sad that I do not know any hikers from around Sabah. If any of you consider yourself as hikers, or any of what I have mentioned above, buzz me and I would like to get good experience together.

Here's how my interest develop. Since primary until my secondary school. I have always join my family to go everywhere around Sabah. I don't remember much where I have been due on how I was raise up. I never really stick with my family when I was little. So, my day school is in school, which I spent most of my time with sports and out extreme activities (I never did like studying). And the rest of it with my cousins and their parents also where I exactly waste my time looking for local native foods. I enjoy with everyone around me even though most of my kid days I'm with strangers, and yeah, thanks to my family, I grow a little bit older than my eldest siblings and I like it. I always finish my time going for fun which most we do hunting, fishing, climbing and the rest what the kids do (in my days).

And growing up with beautiful natures around makes me enjoy just to wandering in the jungles. I never really did get lost totally, well yea, if you know the gridline and know the place well or just love the nature, trust your instinct you'll get out from the misery. Well, honestly, I never have been to Maliau Basin which it's the one place I would love to go to. I've only been in some jungle, I don't know how should I considered the place as. But I could it's still unattached with the other world. I am not good with my knowledge in science or academic. But what the hell, the more things you know scientifically, the more it destroyed you. Just saying, drugs is the medicine and drugs kills you too. How's that sound? So, I always do things based on logic thinking. If I get it wrong, find other option. It's like if you don't know how to use the compass, why bother using it? Know your place, wind coming from what coast..let the wind get you to safety. :)

This is how I fell in love of being Hikers. I am very quiet person at my work place, so the only for me to express my feeling is being in a place where I could always feel freedom. And that place is the nature.

Well, I don't have license or certificate says I am a professional HIKERS and else. Hey, why need some paper to label you as professional one. I didn't have my cert for cycling from Penampang to Tambunan Road. I never did get my cert. for my hike for being up the crocker range with my buddies. I never had any CERTIFICATE to go around Penampang by walking up to the North from South. And guess what, the locals at the Mount Kinabalu who went up and down the Mountain 3 times a day (average count), asked them if they had certs. for that? If they are, I am sure they would have break Malaysia Guinness World Record for doing so. Well I am not a pro but I would like to say that I ENJOY WHAT I DO..NOT FOR CERTIFICATE TO LABEL ME BUT MY SATISFACTION OF DOING IT.

Anyway, I just realized years before I went to KL that the thing I've been doing was done by a Professional and it is their profession. Hurmm..well, too bad. I am nothing because I have no certs. Every time I join for Marathon or Hiking. This question never left behind, how long have you been in this activities? How did you make your schedule since you are working? Hey, how did you keep up with your fitness? Do you workout in the gym? How many times you join in the Marathon?

Seriously, I have no answers for all of these question. Sometimes I wonder, should I just tell them I am a 'kampung' girl who enjoy this kind of activities. Don't ask me how I keep maintain my weight, honestly I eat random foods, so not all foods I eat keep me healthy. Just drink plain water, cold or warm it don't matter, as long as it plain water. For real, cold water don't kills you. It is what in USA marathon give out at the check points. By logic, cold water cool down your body heat. Well, maybe I'm wrong. But I felt okay. Anyway, every person have different effect in what they're taking inside their mouth. For better health, organics better than fast foods or can foods.

By the way, I am no professional in this kind of activities. Anyway, I am eager to try the Para-sailing / gliding and others extreme activities. Okay, so to the local SABAHAN hikers, hashed buddies, rock climbers, pro-cycling, traveler..buzz me and suggest me a good place for this kind of activities without costing me a lot of money. And yeah, FOC much better. Hahaha.

Cheers,

Pisces.
